Comms8 Won Drum Digital Advertising Awards 2020

We are thrilled to announce Comms8 is part of the agency team that won the Chair's award at The Drum Digital Advertising Awards 2020.


The collective team that includes Comms8, JKO Collective and Evolve OOH, scooped the Chair's Award for RESCUE Remedy's 'Taking Flight' digital campaign. The Drum Digital Advertising Awards, presented by the Drum, is the leading international marketing media outlet. The Drum Awards recognise and highlight excellence in the digital advertising industry.

About RESCUE Remedy

RESCUE Remedy is the UK’s No 1 Emotional Wellbeing brand discovered by Dr Bach in the 1930s to provide support in times of emotional demand; such as exams, commuting, demands of family life and flying. Comms8 and the agency team utilised multidimensional data, including store location data, flight information, contextual data and GPS data, to target the travellers in the airport environment.

RESCUE Marketing Strategies

We set out to create personalised content that resonates with the audience and highlight RESCUE's unique selling points. Comms8 team worked relentlessly with the creative team and technical digital partner to deliver a set of dynamic mobile banners that features the full range of RESCUE products, which change accordingly based on- the time of the day, the airport, and the users' precise location inside the airport.

Airport outdoor placements were booked by Evolve OOH team tactically located in proximity to Boots and Superdrug reseller points in the airports. We amplified the message by completely integrating programmatic audience targeting with hyper GPS data to reach the audience on mobile devices, fully leveraging the power of digital to ensure a personalised brand message is put in front of the right audience in the right place at the right time.

Evolve OOH planned a multi-format, multi-channel DOOH integrated campaign that showcased our products dynamically at exactly the right time, in exactly the right location with exactly the right message.

What made this campaign different to all other airport opportunities we've looked at historically, was the immense rigour all partners went to, to ensure we'd get a robust set of learnings that could influence and positively affect all future RESCUE investment.
