2020 was a year full of challenges testing our limit of resilience and perseverance, yet we’d evolved and grown upward and onward despite the difficulties. Here are the wrap-ups!
In a year that was full of zoom calls, conferences were cancelled, travels were halted. Still, we didn’t stop connecting with the industry thought-leaders and sharing our humble views with fellow professionals in the marketing industry. From sharing at ICCO Global Summit to being the judge for the PRCA Award, we’d say 2020 was a year full of fresh insights and countless possibilities.
We pride ourselves on being the digital-savvy communications agency, and we treasure each and every opportunity to work on the innovative strategy for our clients. What brings us joy and fulfillment at work is their trust and confidence in our expertise, and that’s what we value the most.
Our strategic and innovative approaches are what make us unique in the market. In 2020, we were honoured to win the Drum Digital Advertising Awards for Nelsons’ Taking Flight digital campaign. The industry recognition is a profound milestone for Comms8.
2020 was also a year that we were in the limelight more than usual. We are grateful to have the attention which shed light on our behind-the-scene story. These are the motivations to keep us striving in this challenging time.
Businesses were inevitably urged to transform in the pandemic. They also realised the need to digitalise in their marketing approach.
The COVID hit hard on industries like hospitality and luxury brand. Thanks to our diversified brand experience and agility, we brought our offering to the next level and further strengthened our B2B marketing expertise. We successfully helped various B2B industry leaders evolve and advance their digital marketing strategy. Result? Beyond Expectation.

2020 was the year we equipped ourselves for the better.
We continued to strengthen our media expertise across multi-market media; from live streaming on Taobao and Tiktok, SEM on Google, lead generation on Linkedin, influencer outreach to traditional PR. Our team is fully equipped to launch a strategic integrated marketing campaign around the world.
But we didn’t stop there when the world stopped. Our team finished the IAA’s PAC training, also known as ‘University of Advertising’ in the summer, enrolled in the PRCA Diploma course, Baidu Certification, IPA Foundation Course to continue enriching our member’s industry knowledge and skills. Apart from work, each of our team members also devotes time each week on Yale’s Science of Wellbeing to look after our mental health when we all need some extra care in this time of life.
The world is unfolding, and we are equipped with better skills, knowledge, mental strength and resilience to ride with it!
Coming to the seventh year of rooting in the UK, we have been sharing our expertise with Asian brands on their business expansion to the UK and European markets.
Whilst a lot had happened in 2020, with our creativity in creations, we took the initiative and developed the ‘Life in the UK Kit’ hoping to lend a helping hand to those who are interested in relocating to the UK. The Kit is a series of practical information around living in the UK.
One for all, all for one – sharing what we know and what might be useful for those in need.
2020 was a year of uncertainty. Though there’s a lot we aren’t sure of still, one thing certain is our determination to achieve better and more. 2021 will be a better one!
